Downloading & Installing Your New Interface
Step-by-step instructions for downloading, installing and selecting a purchased VirtualDJ skin, including products with multiple files.
After PayPal confirms payment, sign in to VirtualDJSkins and open My Account. Each product shows the files included with that purchase. Download the skin ZIP to a location you can find again and keep a backup copy.
Install the ZIP file
Do not unpack the skin ZIP unless the product instructions specifically say otherwise. Current versions of VirtualDJ can normally install an add-on by opening the downloaded file, or you can place the ZIP in the VirtualDJ Skins folder inside your user Documents folder. The exact location can vary if you have moved the VirtualDJ home folder, so use VirtualDJ settings to confirm the active folder when necessary.
Select the interface
Open VirtualDJ, go to Settings and choose the Interface section. Find the newly installed skin and select it. If VirtualDJ was already open during installation, reopen the Interface panel or restart the application so it can refresh the available skins.
Extra purchased files
Some products contain more than one download. Install only the ZIP as the interface. Other files should be used according to the product instructions. For example, KaraokePro includes a purchased MP4 background in addition to its skin ZIP.
If the skin does not appear, check that the complete ZIP was downloaded, that it was not extracted into an extra nested folder and that it is compatible with your version of VirtualDJ. The troubleshooting guides cover these checks in more detail.
