VirtualDJ Skin Not Appearing? Checks to Try
Troubleshoot a VirtualDJ skin that does not appear in the Interface list after downloading or installing it.
If a newly downloaded skin does not appear in VirtualDJ, do not repeatedly rename or unpack files. Start with the original download and check each stage in order.
Confirm the download
Open My Account and make sure you downloaded the skin ZIP attached to the correct product. A demonstration MP4 is media, not an installable skin. If the download was interrupted or the ZIP is unusually small, download it again.
Keep the package intact
VirtualDJ skins are normally supplied as ZIP packages. Do not extract the ZIP into a folder before installation unless that product explicitly instructs you to. An extracted folder or a ZIP placed inside another ZIP can prevent VirtualDJ from recognising the interface.
Check the active folder
If you installed the file manually, verify that it is in the Skins folder used by your current VirtualDJ installation. Windows and macOS user folders differ, and a customised VirtualDJ home folder may not be in the default location. Avoid placing it in the application program folder.
Refresh VirtualDJ
Open Settings, choose Interface and search or scroll for the skin name. If VirtualDJ was open while the file was copied, close and reopen it. Confirm that you are using a compatible VirtualDJ version and that security software has not quarantined the downloaded file.
Still missing?
