How VirtualDJ real-time stem separation opens new possibilities for mash-ups, remixes and transitions.

VirtualDJ uses the computer to separate a song while it is playing. DJs can adjust vocals, instruments, kicks, hi-hats and other elements independently to build new mash-ups, remixes and transitions.

Modern equalizers

ModernEQ provides more precise separation than a traditional frequency-based equalizer, helping DJs create cleaner transitions. It can be controlled using compatible MIDI knobs on a controller or mixer.

Instant stem isolation

Stem performance pads make it possible to isolate or remove parts of a track in real time. They can be used for live mash-ups and remixes with existing controllers that provide MIDI pads.

Real-time track separation

Track elements can be separated directly from the software or compatible hardware. Use stems as a modern equalizer to fine-tune a mix, or map them to performance pads for instant isolation and removal.
